6 Easy Ways to Wear Knee-High Boots This Fall
Knee-high boots do a lot of work for one pair of shoes. They keep you warm, they make a simple dress look finished, and they turn jeans into an outfit. If you only add one pair of boots this season, make it this one. Here are six ways we like to wear them.
1. With a knit midi dress
The easiest fall outfit there is. A knit dress that ends just below the knee and a boot that meets the hem gives you one long, clean line. Add a belt if you want more shape at the waist. Try it with our Sollora flat knee-high boots for an everyday version, or the Haleriel slouchy knee boots when you want a little more polish.
2. Over straight jeans with a chunky knit
Tuck slim or straight jeans into the boots and pair them with a roomy sweater like the Anoukria cable knit turtleneck. Keep the sweater loose and the bottom half slim, so the proportions stay balanced.
3. Under a long cardigan
A long cardigan and tall boots is the outfit you will reach for on every cold Saturday. The Novalise hooded long cardigan falls to the knee, so the boots peek out underneath. Add a plain tee or turtleneck and you are done.
4. With a skirt and tights
Opaque tights in black or brown let you wear your favorite skirts well into November. Match the tights to the boots for the longest leg line.
5. Dressed up for dinner
Swap the knit for a satin or wrap dress and keep the boots. A pointed toe and a small heel read dressier than a round toe, so pick those for evenings and holidays.
6. With a cropped trench or jacket
A shorter coat shows off the boot. A Marenienne cropped trench or the Averlise sherpa-lined biker jacket over a dress or jeans looks sharp and still keeps you warm on the walk home.
A quick fit tip
Check the calf width before you order, especially if you plan to wear the boots over jeans. Every product page has a size chart next to the size options, and our team is happy to help if you are between sizes.
